Raised in Houston, Kenneth Cappello's upbringing on skateboarding and punk rock is reflected in the energy of his photos. As an assistant to David Lachapelle in the late 90s, his first story featured New York's infamous IRAK crew in 2001. That same year, Dazed & Confused selected him for the cover of their New York Issue. Today, Cappello has shot campaigns for brands including Adidas, Champion, Givenchy, Forever21, LG, Nike, Puma, Stussy, Supreme, Target, Uniqlo; artists ranging from Justin Bieber to Lil Wayne to Iggy Pop; and celebrities such as Selena Gomez, James Franco, and Ewan McGregor. As a director he has created music videos for The Kills, Riff Raff, and Rye Rye, and his book Dream & Drive features ten years of photographs on tour with Allison Mosshart and Jamie Hince of The Kills. Kenneth currently resides in Los Angeles where he trains in crossfit and enjoys gardening.
