Danielle Levitt is a commercial film director and photographer. Her vibrant and broad body of work covers portraiture and editorials for Vanity Fair, NY Times Magazine,Time, & GQ to name a few, advertising for clients including Nike, Reebok, Sprite, and Microsoft, as well as personal work exploring the evolving landscape of contemporary youth culture, which is comprehensively explored in her monograph “We Are Experienced”. Her entry into the film world came when she was commissioned to direct a short documentary on fashion designer Rick Owens’ foray into the world of luxury home furnishings. She has since created original video content for publications and brands such as Apple, Dazed, i-D, HP, Time, and Budweiser. In 2015 her short piece for The Ad Council, titled Love Has No Labels won 1 Gold Lion, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze at Cannes Film Festival. She continues to grow her personal work through documentary films, both short and feature length.
